His Holiness Swamiji offers condolences on the death of former Slovene President Drnovsek

His Holines Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda extended his heartfelt condolences, both on his personal behalf as well as on behalf of the World Peace Council, to the familiy of Mr. Drnovsek and to the whole Slovenian nation.

In his letter, addressed to the current Slovenian president Mr. Türk, His Holiness Swamiji says: “With his passing, Slovenia loses a great statesman, who was tireless in his endeavor to bring peace, freedom and prosperity to his country. A man of vision, he carried abroad the respected voice of a country eager to participate in integrative processes, committed to dialogue between nations and bearing a message of peace, justice and democracy. … I saw for myself during our meetings, the value he attached, as a disciple, to treating all leaving beings with equal respect and consideration.”

His Holiness Swamiji and Dr. Drnovsek first met several years ago, when Dr. Drnovsek was Slovenia's Prime Minister. They found great respect and admiration for each other and they stayed in contact ever since.
