His Holiness Swamiji plants his 25th World Peace Tree in Linz, Austria

On May 18, 2009, His Holiness Swamiji planted a "World Peace Mammut Tree", in Linz, capital city of the Federal Province Upper Austria. In a beautiful ceremony in presence of Town Councillor Mrs. Susanne Wegscheider and 1st Secretary of the Indian Embassy at Vienna, Mr. Aggarwal, Swamiji planted the 25th World Peace Tree in the park in front of the new central railway station of the "Peace City" Linz. Hans Wuehrer, catholic parish priest, bestowed the blessing and Swamiji recited the peace mantra "Asato ma sad gamaya". In their addresses the Councillor as well as the Priest and Swamiji reminded of the importance of creating awareness of our unity with God and the nature - that "God breathes in every living being, humans, animals, trees and plants" - and to work together for peace, harmony and understanding. In conclusion of the ceremony, all sang together the prayer of St. Francis: "Lord, make me a channel of Thy Peace".
