His Holiness Vishwaguruji Maheshwarananda continued his travels for the 2018 World Peace Tour, including programs in Fiji, Canada and the USA, capped off by a special World Peace Conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
After visiting New Zealand, Vishwaguruji spent almost two weeks leading a retreat in the beautiful islands of Fiji. See this photo report with many amazing images of the participants practicing in and being nourished by the natural surroundings; and a transcript of Vishwaguruji's talk about the tradition of giving and receiving blessings.
Next stop was back to the northern hemisphere in Vancouver, Canada. The change of season meant the program took place indoors, as snow was falling outside, and the city had a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Vishwaguruji emphasized the techniques of purification that Yoga provides, and encouraged participants to practice regularly to gain the benefits. Photo report.
Whilst in the USA, Vishwaguruji made his annual visit to the YIDL Centers in Atlanta, Georgia; Alexandria, Virginia; and New York City. The theme of this year's US seminars was 'Yoga for Wellness and Stress Management'. A short report from Alexandria (near Washington DC) can be seen here.
Following the yoga program at the New York YIDL Center, the World Peace Tour was capped off with a very special event in New York City - the World Peace Conference at the United Nations Headquarters on 7 March 2018, co-organised with the Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council.
