International Conference "Yoga and Modern Techniques in Balneology" in Czech Republic
During 20 and 21 September 2005, a specialized medical conference with international participation on the topic "Yoga and Modern Techniques in Balneology" will be held in the town of Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Its special guest of honour will be His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda, the author of the world-famous system Yoga in Daily Life.
Organized by the Association of Physicians and Physical Therapists of the Czech Union of Yoga in Daily Life and by the Yoga in Daily Life Center Karlovy Vary, the Conference's main themes will be:
- Utilization of yoga technqiues in contemporary balneology
- Back pain: prevention and therapy using yoga techniques.
His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda will give the introductory lecture on the first day of the Conference and a special public lecture on the day before, 19 September, titled "Yoga – The Path to Harmony and Health (Heritage of Ancient India)".
