Vishwaguruji's visit to Hungary - Debrecen, Budapest and Győr
Lecture in Guru Ashram, Budapest
At the beginning of June, His Holiness Vishwaguru Maheshwaranandaji visited Debrecen, in eastern Hungary. The weekend seminar was a great event, not only for the Hungarian practitioners of Yoga in Daily Life, but also for many visitors from other countries.
Peace Tree planting, Debrecen
A highlight of the program in Debrecen was the Peace Tree planting in the Botanic Gardens of the University of Debrecen, where Vishwaguruji planted two native trees (oak and maple) together with Prof. Asmita Wele, a guest professor of Ayurveda at the University of Debrecen.
On Sunday, after the program in Debrecen, His Holiness departed to Budapest, where he gave a lecture in the Guru Ashram, established in the Hungarian capital since 1978. He then inaugurated a new ashram in Budapest by lighting the altar candle and holding a satsang.
On Monday, 12 June, Vishwaguruji traveled to the north-western city of Győr, where he met with Professor Dr. Péter Földesi, Rector of the University. They had a lively dialogue about new education possibilities, including yoga and healthy cooking; and they also revisited the Peace Tree that they planted together in 2014.
