On May 22, 2006 His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwaranandaji met with the President of India, His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in the President's office in New Delhi.

Ayurveda is the sister-science of Yoga and it is a holistic system of medicine, rooted in ancient Vedic culture. As Ayurveda is increasingly becoming more widely known in the western world as well, we are happy to announce several events regarding this ancient science.

 His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda is once more travelling the world to spread the message of peace and to inspire people to follow the ethics and moral principles of non-violence, love, the protection of all living creatures, and the tolerance, respect and understanding of all religions, cultures, and nations.

In his lifelong quest to foster a happy and healthy world, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda organised an event designed to educate alike the Youth and Elders of India to the importance of world issues such as Environmental Protection, World Peace, Water Conservation and Tolerance for all Religions and Cultures. Important Community topics such as Family and Cultural Values and the importance of a Unified and Educated India were also addressed.

We would like to address those of you, who would like to participate in the conference actively. Choose one of the given themes and way of presenting it. Please notify us till March 10, 2006. Being a yoga practitioner is not a condition for participation in the conference! Please feel free to contact us with your ideas, regardless of your cultural, religious and philosophical background!

During the weekend of 19-20 November 2005, exactly one year after signing the contract for the premises, joyful celebrations took place for the opening of the new Ashram in Vienna: GURUJI ASHRAM. This newest ashram is named after His Holiness Hindu Dharmsamrat Paramhans Sri Swami Madhavanandaji – respectfully known as Holy Guruji. Hohenberger welcomed "Yoga in Daily Life" in the district and pointed out that this newest and largest yoga centre in Vienna is an improvement of the neighbourhood and of the whole district.

Our dear Sadhvi Shanti was in India with Swamiji and a small group of international disciples. She sent us this report from ceremonies for the Diwali festival and the second anniversary of Holy Guruji’s Mahasamadhi in Nipal and Jadan Ashrams.

On the auspicious day of Diwali (November 1st 2005) and the anniversary of Sri Deep Narayan Mahaprabhuji, a 3.5 by 5 meters photo of His Holiness Paramhans Swami Madhavanandaji (Holy Guruji) was carefully lifted into place at Holy Guruji’s Samadhi at the Om Ashram in Jadan/India. The photo is so large one can actually see it from the main gate of the Ashram.

The first Peace Summit in Croatia, "Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Summit and the Message of Mahatma Gandhi", organised by Croatian Union of "Yoga In Daily Life", took place on October 9, 2005 in Croatia's capital Zagreb, in their biggest hall, Vatroslav Lisinski.

Numerous meetings and activities, along with an extremely warm reception and keen media interest, marked the start of a five-day tour of His Holiness Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda to Croatia. The tour culminated on Sunday, October 9, when He was the main guest of honour at the ”Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Summit and the Message of Mahatma Gandhi”, held in the capital of Croatia, Zagreb.
