Gurupurnima is the festival of spirituality, a celebration of the principle of a Master, a Guru. Gu means darkness and Ru means light and Guru is the one who leads us from darkness to light. Gurupurnima is also a remembrance of the day when the rays of the Sun touched the Earth for the very first time. It is the day of wisdom, the day of the Light.

Monsoon rains that started on July 4 almost completely filled the Rainwater Harvesting Talab in Jadan. Water is everywhere; it covered also all fields and roads. Local people say that last monsoon of such abundance was almost ten years ago.

In his evening lecture in Brisbane/Australia, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda proclaimed May 17 as a "Day of Meditation for World Peace". His Holiness Swamiji said that the whole day shall be dedicated to World Peace, and the positive and divine vibration of our joint mantra and meditation practice for World Peace shall go around the globe from midnight to midnight.

His Holiness Swamiji is currently visiting Australia on his World Peace Tour 2007. While Swamiji is in Brisbane, a live-stream webcast of his lectures will be available via internet. You will need to register and activate your account to be able to log in.

His Holiness Swamiji is once more travelling the world to spread the message of peace and to inspire people to follow the ethics and moral principles of non-violence, love, the protection of all living creatures, and the tolerance, respect and understanding of all religions, cultures, and nations.

His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda traveld to Croatia in April 2007. The initiator of the first ever Peace Summit in Croatia, held in Zagreb in 2005, started His four-day tour in Zagreb, with meeting the Croatian President Stjepan Mesic.

His Holiness Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda was invited by the United Nations in New York City to present His message of Spiritual Awakening for World Peace.

His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda is certainly not new to Slovenia. He has been visiting there for the last 19 years and during this time, he has become well known to the Slovene population. His system "Yoga in Daily Life" can now be practised in classes in almost every Slovene city.
